Todayauto1.xyz ad removal

Todayauto1.xyz is a scam website that tries to trick users into agreeing to see ads on their desktops. If you get redirected to it, you will get a browser prompt saying “Todayauto1.xyz wants to show notifications”. If you press “Allow”, you will start seeing potentially dangerous ads on your desktop.

As soon as you get redirected to Todayauto1.xyz, the intro to a Marvel movie will start playing and stop after 10 seconds. A message will then appear saying you need to allow notifications to continue playing the video. Your browser will also display an alert saying “Todayauto1.xyz wants to show notifications”. It’s an obvious attempt to trick people but it may work on some users who get redirected to the site when trying to stream a movie for free. For other users, there is no reason why they would agree to these notifications.

If you have allowed them, you should be careful about which notifications you interact with. Some of them may be advertising questionable programs or even outright malware. Others may prompt you to engage with some kind of scam. The sooner you remove Todayauto1.xyz from the list of sites that have permission, the better.

It should be mentioned, however, that allowing legitimate sites to show notifications is perfectly safe. For example, allowing a news website to show notifications would allow the site to show you important news stories on your desktop. The contents of the notifications depend on what the site usually posts.

It’s a good idea to scan the computer with WiperSoft or other anti-virus software to check whether adware is present. One of its main symptoms is random redirects. If adware is at fault, removing it would stop the redirects. Alternatively, installing an adblocker program would stop the redirects if they’re triggered by the sites you visit.

Random redirects usually indicate adware’s presence

Depending on how often you get redirected, your computer is either infected with adware or you browse high-risk websites that have questionable ads. If the latter is the case, you should avoid visiting those sites. Websites that have pornography or pirated content are usually the ones that trigger redirects. Installing an adblocker program can help prevent these redirects if you wish to continue browsing high-risk sites.

However, if the issue is more serious and you’re getting redirected randomly when browsing safe sites, you likely have adware installed. Adware isn’t particularly dangerous but as you already noticed, it’s very annoying. It installs using software bundling, a method that allows infections like adware to come attached to free software as extra offers and install alongside. While the offers are optional they are preselected to install alongside automatically. If you want to prevent these unwanted installations, you need to pay attention to how you install free programs. Most importantly, you need to use Advanced (Custom) settings instead of Default when installing freeware. Advanced settings would show you everything that has been added and give you the option to deselect everything. Only when you have unchecked all extra offers should you continue installing the program.

Todayauto1.xyz redirect removal

Your first course of action when randomly redirected should be to scan your computer with anti-virus software, such as WiperSoft. If adware is redirecting you, the anti-virus would get rid of it, thus stopping the redirects. If you are redirected by the sites you visit, you either need to stop visiting them or install an adblocker program.

Lastly, you need to delete Todayauto1.xyz from the list of sites that have permission to show you notifications. Doing that is not difficult but if you’re not sure how to proceed, use the below-provided directions to help you. You can remove any website using this method.
