Remove yourprizeparadise.com pop-ups

yourprizeparadise.com is a deceptive website that aims to trick users into allowing ads on the desktop. It misuses a legitimate browser feature to do this, which is why you’ll get a browser alert saying “yourprizeparadise.com wants to show notifications” when you enter the site. If you click “Allow” on this alert, the site will be authorized to show notifications on your desktop. It should also be mentioned that these ads could expose you to potentially dangerous content, including scams and even malware. However, you can easily revoke the site’s permission via your browser’s settings even if you have given it.

If you get redirected to the site, you’ll immediately get a browser alert saying “yourprizeparadise.com wants to show notifications”. If you click “Allow”, you will authorize the site to show ads on your desktop. The biggest issue with these ads is that they may be purposely made to resemble legitimate system notifications. This may trick users into interacting with them. For example, ad notifications may be made to look like virus alerts to trick users into downloading some questionable or even outright malicious program. Additionally, the site itself may show various scams, such as a giveaway scams. Interacting with them could be dangerous, as they usually phish for personal information.

It’s important to determine why you’re being redirected to questionable sites. If it’s just a one-time occurrence, the site you were browsing likely triggered it. Any decent adblocker program would be of great help. However, it’s also possible that adware is triggering the redirects, in which case you’d need to scan your computer with anti-virus software WiperSoft to check.

What triggers redirects to sites like yourprizeparadise.com?

Users are usually redirected to random sites like yourprizeparadise.com when browsing ad-heavy sites without an adblocker program. Certain sites try to expose users to as much advertisement content as possible, which means triggering redirects no matter what users click on. Sites with pornographic and/or pirated content are particularly notorious for this. Installing an ablocker is usually enough.

If redirects are a regular occurrence, adware may be the issue. Infections like adware and browser hijackers usually install via software bundling, a method that allows said infections to be added to popular free programs as extra offers. The offers are optional, but they are set to install alongside the program automatically unless users manually deselect them. However, this is made difficult by the fact that they are hidden in settings that users usually don’t use. Thus, many users simply don’t notice the offers.

When installing free programs, the installation window prompts you to use Default settings, but doing so will automatically authorize all additional offers to install. Instead, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings, which will display all offers, enabling you to uncheck any you don’t wish to install. Generally, legitimate programs do not use the bundling method, so it’s a good idea to deselect any offers, even if they seem useful at first glance. It’s also worth noting that programs using software bundling to install are frequently flagged as potential threats by anti-virus software.
