Remove Ngthatwe.fun redirects
Ngthatwe.fun is a very typical scam website that aims to trick users into subscribing to advertisements. If you get redirected to it, a browser alert will appear saying “Ngthatwe.fun wants to show notifications”. This is a legitimate browser feature but if you agree to see these notifications, you will be spammed with ads on your desktop.
Ngthatwe.fun and sites like it are essentially misusing a legitimate browser feature that allows websites to show users notifications which appear on the desktop. Allowing a legitimate site to show notification can be handy if it’s a site you frequently visit. For example, if you often visit a particular news website, you can give it this permission. Alerts about important news stories would appear on the right side of the desktop, and clicking on them would take you directly to the stories. The same goes for just about any legitimate website that you frequent.
However, allowing a site like Ngthatwe.fun to show notifications means you will be spammed with ads. The site itself is basically a scam website that’s made to look like a sports news site but that is merely a ruse to trick users into interacting with it. Its shown “notifications” could also be dangerous, as they may be advertising fake programs or scams. It wouldn’t be particularly surprising if you ended with some kind of serious malware infection if you interacted with any of the notifications. Some of those notifications may also be purposely made to appear like legitimate system notifications.
If you suddenly get redirected, we recommend scanning the computer with anti-virus software, such as WiperSoft. If the redirects are caused by adware, the program would remove it, thus stopping the redirects.
Causes behind redirects to Ngthatwe.fun
There usually is a simple explanation behind redirects to sites like Ngthatwe.fun. It’s either an adware infection or you were browsing a questionable website that triggered a redirect. The solution for the latter is simple, either avoid visiting high-risk sites or install adblocker.
Adware may be responsible for the redirects if they happen regularly, even when browsing safe sites. If adware is indeed to blame, removing it is necessary to stop the redirects. It’s also important to learn how adware installs, in order to avoid infection in the future. Adware comes attached to free software as an extra offer and is permitted to install alongside automatically. This is called software bundling, and it’s usually how unwanted programs install. If you want to prevent unwanted installations, you need to pay attention when installing free programs. Most importantly, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when given the option. Those settings will make the otherwise hidden offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them.
While some of those offers may seem useful, we do not recommend allowing any of them to install. Software bundling is a rather sneaky installation method, and programs that use it should not be permitted to install on your computer. They can also be quite difficult to get rid of, while preventing their initial installation is very easy.
Ngthatwe.fun removal
If you got redirected when browsing a questionable website, there is no need to worry about adware, as the redirect was likely caused by the site. Install an adblocker program, and that should be enough to stop any future redirects.
If you are constantly bothered by them, however, we strongly suggest scanning your computer with anti-virus software, such as WiperSoft. If it is present, the program would detect and remove Ngthatwe.fun adware, thus stopping the redirects.
