Remove Dwhenmyfe.xyz ads

Dwhenmyfe.xyz is a generic fake sports news website that pushes a social engineering scam to trick users into allowing notifications on the desktop. It does so by misusing a legitimate browser feature that allows sites that get users’ permission to show notifications on the desktop. So when you get redirected to this particular site, you will be shown a browser alert saying “Dwhenmyfe.xyz wants to show notifications”.

Dwhenmyfe.xyz is the same as Ralemploay.space, Eorconside.space, and Ryaouposit.space. They are all fake entertainment websites with news about sports, movies, video games, celebrities, etc. But they don’t actually display any kind of content. Their only purpose is to trick users into allowing push notifications. When you get redirected to it, a browser alert will pop up saying “Dwhenmyfe.xyz wants to show notifications”. If you grant it permission, you will start seeing advertisements on your desktop. Bear in mind that some of those notifications may be dangerous to interact with.

These notifications will appear on the right side of the desktop, in a similar place to where legitimate system notifications are displayed. Do not interact with those notifications because they may try to trick you into downloading unwanted or even malicious programs. If you have given it permission, you should revoke it as soon as possible. You can find directions at the very end of the report if you need help.

Despite its misuse, the “show notifications” feature is legitimate and can come in handy occasionally. If you frequent a certain website and wish to see more of its content, you can permit it to show notifications on your desktop. For example, if you want news alerts, allow a news site to show notifications. You can revoke this permission when you no longer wish to see the notifications.

We highly recommend you perform a scan of your computer with an anti-virus program to check for an adware infection. It’s pretty common for random redirects to be triggered by adware. If adware is the issue, to stop the redirects, you will need to remove Dwhenmyfe.xyz. It’s easiest to do using anti-virus software like WiperSoft. If no adware is present, install an adblocker program because you are likely redirected by the sites you visit.

Random redirects may indicate an adware infection

If you’re randomly redirected to Dwhenmyfe.xyz and similar sites when browsing certain sites, you need to be more careful about what sites you use. Certain pages, such as ones that have adult or pirated content, are often considered to be high-risk due to the ads they host. It’s not uncommon to trigger a redirect just by interacting with those sites. If you are redirected by the sites you visit, an adblocker program would be of use, as it would block the redirects and intrusive pop-ups.

However, if you are redirected regularly, you’re likely dealing with an adware infection. Adware is pretty minor but your browsing will constantly be interrupted while it remains installed. Adware, browser hijackers, and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) use the software bundling method to install, which means that they come added to free software as extra offers. These offers, while optional, are set to install alongside the freeware they’re attached to automatically. To prevent their installation, you need to manually deselect them. But because the offers are usually hidden, it’s often difficult for users to notice, which is why these kinds of infections are so widespread.

If you want to correctly install free programs, all you need to do is pay attention during the process. The most important part is opting for Advanced or Custom settings when given the option. Unlike Default settings, which will hide the offers, Advanced will make everything that’s been added visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. All you need to do is uncheck the boxes of those offers and then continue the installation. The installation window will suggest using Default settings but you should ignore this advice.

Keep in mind that the majority of free software you download from unofficial websites will have extra offers. Some of them may seem useful initially but do not allow any of them to install. Software bundling is a controversial installation method, and programs that use it should not be permitted to install on your computer. As you likely already noticed, once they’re installed, the unwanted programs can be difficult to get rid of. Unchecking a couple of boxes is much easier.

Dwhenmyfe.xyz removal

It’s strongly recommended to scan the computer with anti-virus software because random redirects can indicate adware’s presence. A program like WiperSoft would detect and delete Dwhenmyfe.xyz adware with no issues. While it’s possible to uninstall adware manually, it could be tricky, thus it’s recommended to use anti-virus software. If no adware is detected, the sites you visit may be triggering the redirects. If that’s the case, install an adblocker program to block redirects and intrusive pop-up ads.

If the site has permission to show you notifications, you need to revoke that permission as soon as possible.
