Remove Dnastonepai.biz pop-ups
Dnastonepai.biz is essentially a scam website that tries to trick you into subscribing to advertisements. It’s misuses a legitimate browser feature that allows sites to show notifications, hence why you’ll see an alert saying “Dnastonepai.biz wants to show notifications” when you get redirected to this site. If you agree to let Dnastonepai.biz show notifications, you will be spammed with ads.
Browsers have a feature that allows websites to show users notifications on their desktop, provided they get permission from users. This can have many uses. For example, you may allow a legitimate news website to show you notifications and it will keep you updated about important news stories by displaying alerts on the desktop, which if clicked would lead to the news story. Loads of legitimate sites use this feature, but the same goes for scam sites like Dnastonepai.biz.
The feature is, unfortunately, very often misused to spam users with ads. When you get redirected to Dnastonepai.biz, you will see the site displaying a message saying you need to click “Allow” to continue onto the site. A browser pop-up notification will also appear saying Dnastonepai.biz wants to show notifications. By notifications it means ads. There’s no reason to allow Dnastonepai.biz to show notifications but if you have done so, you need to revoke that permission. We will show how to do that in the last section of the report. In the meantime, be careful about which notifications you interact with. Dnastonepai.biz ad notifications will be shown on the right side of the screen, even on the desktop. Some of them may purposely be made to appear like they’re legitimate system notifications, which is how you may be tricked into downloading something malicious.
You need to determine why you’re being redirected to Dnastonepai.biz in order to stop the redirects. They could be caused by adware, in which case you would need to get rid of it to remove Dnastonepai.biz redirects. If it’s a random site redirecting you, installing adblocker should be enough.
How does adware install
If the redirects are caused by adware, you would be redirected constantly, even when browsing seemingly safe sites. There may also be other symptoms but redirects to Dnastonepai.biz are the primary and most noticeable one. Adware usually installs via freeware bundling, meaning it comes attached to a free program as an extra offer. These offers are permitted to install alongside free programs automatically, without requiring additional permission. And while they’re optional, the offers are hidden initially, which is why users are often caught by surprise. If you want to prevent these unwanted installations, pay attention when installing free programs. Most importantly, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when given the option instead of Default. Those settings will make all offers visible, and you will be able to deselect all of them. Unchecking the boxes of those offers is all you really need to do. Once the offers have been deselected, you can continue installing the freeware.
If you’re redirected when browsing sites you know to be high-risk, it’s very likely the site that’s causing them. Loads of websites, particularly ones that host pornography or pirated content can have questionable ads and trigger redirects, so you should be very careful when visiting them. Installing adblocker is highly recommended, as it would either prevent the redirects altogether or at least close the windows as they appear.
