How to stop Ngexcellern.xyz redirects

Ngexcellern.xyz is a generic scam website that misuses a legitimate browser feature to trick users into allowing notifications on the desktop. As soon as you visit the site, you will get a browser alert saying “Ngexcellern.xyz wants to show notifications”. Normally, legitimate sites would show useful content but sites like Ngexcellern.xyz show ads. Furthermore, a lot of the ads could expose you to dangerous content, including scams and malware. If you have accidentally given the site permission to show you notifications, you can easily revoke it. And until you do, avoid interacting with the ads.

The thing about notifications from sites like Ngexcellern.xyz is that they’re unsafe. Not only will the site spam your desktop with ads, but a lot of them could also expose you to dangerous content. You could be tricked into downloading malicious software or be exposed to various scams. So if you have given the site permission, you should revoke it as soon as possible.

Click on Notifications under Permissions, and remove Ngexcellern.xyz and any other questionable website. You can stop these notification requests permanently by toggling off “Sites can ask to send notifications”.
• For Microsoft Edge: Open menu (the three dots top-right corner) -> Settings -> Cookies and site permissions -> Notifications. Review which sites have permission and remove Ngexcellern.xyz and any other questionable website. You can permanently turn off these notification requests by toggling off “Ask before sending”.
