Faithlocation2.xyz ad removal

Faithlocation2.xyz is a scam website that will ask you to allow it to show notifications. Faithlocation2.xyz notifications would appear on the desktop and contain advertisement content, some of which could be potentially dangerous. Since Faithlocation2.xyz is a scam site, it’s more than likely that its notifications will also be scams.

Faithlocation2.xyz hosts various scams, though they all trigger the browser feature that allows sites to show notifications. Every time you are redirected to Faithlocation2.xyz, the site will display different content. For example, as seen from the above image, it may start playing a video of a movie intro, then suddenly stop and ask you to allow notifications to continue the video. We’ve also seen the site displaying a version of the popular Mario game. But whatever kind of content the site displays, we do not recommend interacting with it. And we certainly do not think allowing the site to show notifications is a good idea. On the contrary, if you give it permission to show notifications, you will be spammed with ads on your desktop. It’s worth mentioning that those notifications will show questionable content, including prompts to download potentially dangerous programs and interact with fake giveaways.

However, allowing legitimate sites to show notifications is perfectly safe. It is a legitimate feature after all. If there is a website you frequent and wish to see more of the content it posts, you can allow it to show you notifications. Their contents depend on what the site usually posts. For example, notifications shown by a news website would be related to important news. This permission is easily revokable if you no longer wish to see those notifications.

Why are you redirected to questionable websites?

A simple explanation for random redirects may be that you visit high-risk websites that have questionable ads. Certain sites, pornography or pirated content sites, for example, are considered to be high-risk because of the ads they host. It’s not uncommon to get redirected when engaging with those ads. To help avoid this, it’s a good idea to install an adblocker program.

If, however, you’re redirected when browsing safe sites, your computer may be infected with adware. These kinds of infections usually install alongside free programs, using a method known as software bundling. The adware that’s infecting your computer was likely attached to some free program you installed as an extra offer and was able to install alongside. The extra offers, while optional, are set to install alongside the programs automatically, unless they’re manually deselected. However, since they’re initially hidden, many users simply do not notice them. If you want to deselect the offers when installing free programs, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings during installation. Uncheck the boxes of all offers and then continue the installation. Keep in mind that even if the offers seem useful at first sight, allowing them to install is not a good idea.

If you are redirected over and over again, seemingly out of the blue, it’s highly recommended to scan the computer with an anti-virus program, such as WiperSoft. Adware isn’t a serious infection but it’s still very important to get rid of it sooner rather than later. And using anti-virus software is the easiest way because the program would take care of everything. Once the adware is gone, the redirects will stop.

It may also be a good idea to review your browsing habits. In particular, we suggest avoiding high-risk websites or at least installing an adblocker program.
