Delete Veaelreadyc.top ads

Veaelreadyc.top is a very generic fake news website that pushes a social engineering scam. It misuses a legitimate browser feature to essentially spam users’ desktops with intrusive advertisements. When you get redirected to the site, you will see an alert saying “Veaelreadyc.top wants to show notifications” and if you press “Allow”, you’ll start seeing ads on the desktop, potentially dangerous ones at that.

Veaelreadyc.top is made to appear like it’s a news website but it’s actually just pushing a social-engineering scam to tricks users into allowing desktop ads. It does so by misusing a legitimate browser feature that allows sites with permission to show users notifications. Those notifications would appear on the desktop’s right side. Veaelreadyc.top is essentially identical to hundreds of other sites that all aim to do the same thing, expose you to as many ads as possible. Immediately when you get redirected to it, you will see a browser alert that says “Veaelreadyc.top wants to show notifications”. If you click “Allow”, questionable notifications and ads will start spamming your desktop’s right side. We don’t recommend interacting with any of those notifications because you could be exposed to all kinds of malware and scams.

Despite the misuse, the “show notifications” feature is completely legitimate. As long as a site is safe, allowing it to show notifications will not cause any issues. The content of those notifications depends on what a site usually posts. For example, if you give a news website permission, news alerts will start appearing on the desktop. If you want to keep track of what’s going on without needing to visit news websites all the time, this is a convenient way to do it. When you no longer want to see the notifications, you can revoke that permission in your browser’s settings. If you don’t know how to do that, we have provided directions at the very end of the report to assist you.

We suggest installing anti-virus software if you don’t already have it. Random redirects are often a sign of an adware infection, and the easiest way to determine whether adware is present is to scan the computer with anti-virus software like WiperSoft. If adware is what’s causing the redirects, removing it would stop them. However, it’s also possible that you’re redirected by the sites you visit. Installing an adblocker would help with that as redirects and intrusive pop-ups would be blocked.

What causes redirects to Veaelreadyc.top

The majority of the time, users are redirected to sites like Veaelreadyc.top when they browse high-risk websites. If you frequent sites that have pornography or pirated content, you likely already noticed that clicking on anything on them could trigger a redirect. Plenty of websites are considered to be high-risk due to the ads they host, which is why you need to be very careful. It’s a good idea to install an adblocker program to block the redirects and the intrusive pop-ups.

However, if the redirects occur on a regular basis, even when browsing safe sites, your computer likely has adware installed. Adware is not a particularly serious infection but its redirects and intrusive ads will get annoying very quickly. Adware uses a rather sneaky installation method known as software bundling. It (as well as infections like browser hijackers and potentially unwanted programs) basically comes attached to free programs as extra offers, and those offers are permitted to install alongside automatically. The offers are optional but they need to be manually deselected by users to prevent their installation. And many users do not deselect them simply because they are not aware of their presence as they are hidden initially.

If you want to prevent your computer from being filled with junk, be attentive when installing free programs. Most importantly, opt for Advanced (Custom) settings when the option is given. Only in those settings will the added offers become visible. If Advanced settings show that something has been added, simply deselect the boxes. Some of the offers seem useful at first sight but installing any of them is not a good idea. Software bundling is a very sneaky installation method, and programs that use it should not be permitted to install. And it’s much easier to deselect a few boxes than it is to later uninstall pesky infections.
